My clients don’t just get generic advice. They get one-on-one support. They get an online personal trainer who’s there to answer their questions, keep them accountable, and help them get great results.
Using technology, my clients are not stuck meeting me in the gym at inconvenient times. Personal training that fits your busy lifestyle.
Wondering how many reps you should do? Ask me.
Not sure when and how to use running in your program? Ask me.
Need advice on a good eating plan? Ask me.
It goes deeper than knowing the best path (although that is very important). People make a lot of excuses once they get past 40, like I did. Excuses like…
“I’m too old.” “My joints hurt.” “This diet is making me starve.” “There’s no time.” “I can’t lose weight.”
Okay. You’re busy. You’re on a budget. You have a job, family, a life. You don’t have the time to hit the gym everyday. And hiring a personal trainer is so expensive and inconvenient.
That’s why I’m online.
JOHN & TAMMY BATTE
This past fall, my wife and I made a decision to invest in our health. With the help of Allan Misner, we learned what food really does to and for our bodies. We lost 29 and 38 pounds respectively. Lost inches, a lot of inches, from all over. We did not go hungry, actually ate more... just ate smarter.
I was active, but not seeing results; my eating habits were getting worse and worse. My clothes weren’t fitting anymore. I was as likely to go to the gym as i was to not go. I’m “older” (47) and knew there are more challenges to being fit at that age, so I specifically sought out resources on being fit and over 40 which led to Allan’s podcast/website.
Allan’s is easily contactable. If I feel like I’m going off the rails I can email him with whatever issue I’m having with the food or the exercise and he responds at a rate proportional to the need. He forces me to have goals in mind; specifically making me state those goals at the outset.
I’ve taken over 3” off my abdomen/waist area (my legs/thighs also) and I can visually see and physically feel changes in my body composition and strength. I think my face looks better too, healthier. If I had more hair I think I could pass for early instead of late 40s/almost 50.
I found Allan's podcast over a year ago and after I found it, I binge listened to all the back episodes. He has a nonjudgmental and energetic approach that also comes out in his training. I've learned things that surprised me, like how sugar is the culprit with my acne and why fasted walking works. He has experienced a lot of what I've gone through on my health and fitness journey, which helps him understand what we are going through.
It took me ten years of trial and error to get to this version of myself. I love this version of me. If I'd have had Allan's guidance back then, it wouldn't have taken me nearly as long. Now, I'm learning how to tweak my diet and how movement can help me stay on track and meet my goals.
Allan is there patting me on the back, keeping me accountable. When I have questions, he is very quick to respond. It is like having a partner with you along the way. I don't want to call it motivation, it is support and inspiration that Allan provides. His commitment to me is as important as my commitment to myself to be healthy and fit.
Allan provides a variety of modalities to give information -- written, video, and audio which is a great way to reach a variety of learning styles for his clients. He is encouraging, explains concepts clearly, and provides support and encouragement along the way. It is clear that he is passionate about helping people find ways to not just "lose weight" but to truly develop a personal path to being "forever fit!"
Don't you want a success story like this?
How does online training work?
When you go to a personal trainer, you usually have a goal in mind. They work with you to set up programming and nutrition to help you reach those goals. Personal trainers provide encouragement and accountability. Very good personal trainers also use the time you have together to provide additional information and insight into health and fitness.
Online personal training is not much different. I'll still be helping you understand what you need to do to reach your goals and providing additional health and fitness advice. I'll be in your corner all the way providing encouragement and accountability. You just don't have to pay me to count reps (I think you can count).
Another cool thing about online personal training is that we don't have to sync our schedules to make it work. Life just has a way of getting in the way. But with an online environment, you don't have to wait until our next session to ask questions. This flexibility makes it fit your lifestyle, which is a key for sticking with a program.
What if I don't like to or can't exercise?
Exercise is a terrible word. As is workout. I prefer to call it training. Why? Because getting healthy and fit points to a purpose. That purpose is living better. If we begin looking at our training, which includes nutrition, lifestyle, and movement, it doesn't come off as a chore.
In the story above, one of the things John didn't tell you about Tammy was that she was suffering from a back problem and wasn't able to workout. She was still able to lose 29 lbs in 10 weeks. By focusing on what she could control, and moving more when she could, she still saw progress.
What if I'm not tech savvy?
I have set up the process to be very easy to use. If you can log on to a website and do email, you're good to go. There will be a single community location website for you to go. The conference calls work just like a work-style call, where you call in to a set number. And, if you're a part of the one-on-one training, I'll provide step by step guidance on what I need you to do so I can customize your programming and nutrition.
Can I really get results with an online coach?
Yes, with one caveat: Are you willing to make changes? I can't do it for you. But I can provide guidance, support, encouragement, and accountability. And when you really think about why you would hire a personal trainer, doesn't that cover all the bases?
Isn't personal training expensive?
The short answer, yes. It can be very expensive if you pay a personal trainer to be with you each and every time you train. Most personal trainers charge from $40 - $150 per session. If you train three times per week, that can add up to $500 - $2,000 per month!
That is one of the advantages of online training. You're not paying someone to count reps. If you're willing to do the work, you'll see the same benefits at a fraction of the cost.
You're here because you want to make a change.
